As Jewish progressives and allies, Bend the Arc shares a view of collective safety, but the past several years have seen an alarming increase in antisemitic, racist, Islamaphobic, and other fear-based rhetoric and violence. These trends have been worsened by powerful politicians, including a past president, who continue to amplify harmful conspiracy theories. Standing in solidarity with marginalized and endangered groups is not only our sacred duty, but necessary for our own safety. There is no legitimate path to fighting antisemitism without also fighting racism, Islamophobia, xenophobia, and anti-LGTBQ extremism.
