Renewing Tradition!

Temple Har Zion was established in the historic town of Mt. Holly, NJ in 1933. We honor Conservative tradition with a Jewish Renewal twist, supporting congregants in davennen (prayer), study, and building community.

Our Focus

For over 80 years, Temple Har Zion has been committed to creating a warm, welcoming, haimishe space for Jews of all backgrounds and traditions. Our small shul has been called the “best-kept secret” in South Jersey where our diversity is our strength. Partners, singles, and children – all are supported and encouraged to be part of a community of active and involved members.

Some of us enjoy our gentle place to connect with our spiritual paths, others are embraced by the vibrancy of deep friendships. Above all, THZ provides a nurturing environment for deep connection. Our greatest resource is our members and their commitment to community, to Judaism, to Temple Har Zion.

We believe we have something quite special to share that is not easily found elsewhere. We invite you to stop in for Shabbat services or any of our programs and events, and stay to chat awhile.

Our Mission Statement

The Mission of Temple Har Zion is to provide a wellspring of Jewish Spirituality and learning that nurtures wholeness and a close connection with community and G!d from generation to generation.

Our Vision Statement

We are the Delaware Valley’s Jewish oasis of spiritual searching and innovation that promotes learning and healing. We inspire individuals, couples and families to celebrate our ancient and sacred spiritual connections in a supportive environment to create an active presence of G!d in our daily lives.
