Temple Har Zion has earned the nickname Temple Har Diner, and with good reason: Our after-service Onegs are epic. Visit us, and you’ll find it hard to believe that all this delicious food is prepared in-house by volunteers.

The kitchen is a central part of Temple Har Zion’s identity. With that in mind, and with members having a wide variety of Jewish observance and practices, we choose to maintain a strictly kosher dairy kitchen. The fact that ours is a dairy kitchen doesn’t stop us; we had an amazing spread for our Super Bowl party that included meatless hot wings, chili and more.

Making Shabbat a delight (Oneg) is a commandment that Temple Har Zion takes very seriously. We take pride in providing a welcoming Oneg Shabbat and Kiddush, serving delicious food for the many holidays during the Jewish calendar year. Because we are dedicated to ensuring that Jews from all backgrounds can be comfortable eating at THZ, our kitchen is pareve/dairy and we uphold a strict sense of kashrut. In addition, we always include gluten-free options, protein, fruit and vegetables for Shabbat and holiday events.

If you would like to sponsor an Oneg, contact us at info@templeharzion.org. Our Social Hall is also available to rent for members’ simchas and events.
